Ville Lajunen

Ville Lajunen ( born March 8, 1988 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Färjestad BK in the Elitserien since July 2012. His younger brother Jani Lajunen playing with the Milwaukee Admirals.

Career

Ville Lajunen began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the Finnish first division club Espoo Blues, for their first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the season 2006/ 07. He remained in three games point and remained scoreless. In the following season the defender with his team was runner-up. In addition to the Espoo Blues Lajunen played from 2006 to 2008 as well for the Finnish U20 national team in the second-rate Mestis as well as for KooKoo Kouvola. In the 2008 /09 season Lajunen could earn a regular place in the team of Espoo and scored in 45 games overall scorer 19 points, including eight goals. In November 2011, the Finn moved to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Continental Hockey League.

Internationally

For Finland Lajunen took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2008, where he finished sixth with his team.
