Villeparisis

Villeparisis is a commune in France with 24,525 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) about 25 kilometers northeast of Paris (Region Ile- de -France, Seine-et -Marne Arrondissement Torcy ).

Villeparisis has an area of 8.29 km ² and is located about 60 meters above the sea level. The population density is 2811 people per square kilometer.

History

The name is derived from the Celtic Villeparisis tribe of the Parisii and was first mentioned in the 12th century.
