Villongo is a municipality of the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy with 7708 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located in Valcalepio 60 km northeast of Milan and 20 km east of Bergamo.
The place consists of the fractions San Filastro and St. Alexander, in 1927 united the community Villongo. The municipality belongs to the Comunità montana Monte Bronzone e del Basso Sebino.
The towns of San Villongo Filastro and Villongo Sant'Alessandro were inhabited since the Middle Ages, what excavations in the 19th century demonstrate. Both towns united in 1927 and formed the existing community Villongo today.
