Vilsberg

Vilsberg ( German Wilsberg ) is a commune of 365 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Phalsbourg.

Geography

Vilsberg is located about 17 kilometers east of Sarrebourg at an altitude 200-316 m above sea level, the average height is 273 m. The municipality consists of 5 km ².

The municipality Vilsberg the hamlet Grand Pont include ( Hochbruck ) and Guérberhoff ( Gerbhof ).

History

The place was only from 1661 to France, then was by the Peace of Frankfurt 1871 again German and French after the First World War. Even at the time of the Second World War, the region was again under German administration.
