Vimercate

Vimercate ( Lombard: Vimercaa ) is a city in Lombardy, Italy.

Vimercate is a place with 25 497 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). The place is 25 km from Milan and 10 km from Monza. Since 2004 she is part of the new province of Monza and Brianza, but which is managed until 2009 by the Province of Milan. The area of ​​the town is 20.73 km ².

History

Vimercate was originally founded by the Romans on the banks of the river Molgora.
