Vincennes University

The Vincennes University ( also called VU ) is a public university in Vincennes in the southwest of the U.S. state of Indiana. Currently here are enrolled 4,522 students.

History

The college was founded in 1801 as Jefferson Academy. In 1806 it received its present name. It was founded by William H. Harrison, making it next to the University of Virginia is one of two universities in the United States that were established by the President.

Sports

The sports teams of the VU are the Trail Blazers. Especially the bowling team is known nationwide.
