Philippe Antoine Vincent Candela ( born October 24, 1973 in Bédarieux ) is a former French footballer.

Career

Vincent Candela started his professional career in 1991 at Toulouse, where he played for four years until he moved to EA Guingamp in 1995. There he was able to prevail as a regular player and graduated in two years, 48 games and scored two goals. In 1997 he moved to Italy's top club AS Roma. There, spent eight years of his career. Candela graduated from 210 games and scored 14 goals. He won with the AS Roma Serie A 2000/ 01 and also the Supercoppa Italiana in 2001. 2005 he played for half a year at Bolton Wanderers. Then we went in the same year to Udinese Calcio, where he played for one season. In 2006, Candela for AC Siena, but even there he stayed only one season. In 2007, he was loaned out for the second half of FC Messina, where he played his last game on May 20 against Fiorentina.

National

He played from 1996 to 2003 for the French national football team. For this, he completed 40 games and scored two goals. His biggest was probably winning the football World Cup in 1998 and the European Football Championship 2000. He also played at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and even at the World Cup 2002.
