Vincent Vittoz

Vincent Vittoz ( born July 17, 1975 in Annecy ) is a French cross-country skiers.

Career

His best finish at the Olympic Winter Games is far 6th place in the Pursuit race over 2 x 15 km in Turin in 2006. Overall Vittoz has already participated in three Olympic Games.

Vincent Vittoz has previously won eight World Cup victories. After his fourth World Cup win in Nove Mesto na Moravě on 15 January 2005, he came in early February for a short time in doping suspicion. His A- sample was tested by a laboratory in Cologne positive for furosemide, a diuretic. Furosemide, which itself has no performance-enhancing effect, is used due to its dehydrating effect as a masking agent. The analysis of the B sample was, however, negative. As a second analysis in the Cologne laboratory came to a different conclusion again, a DNA analysis was performed, which could rule out tampering with foreign urine. Acquitted of all charges but was struck morally Vittoz a few days later to attend the 2005 World Championships in Oberstdorf but where he won with appropriate Siegeswut gold in the 30 - km pursuit race on 20 February 2005.
