Vincenz Liechtenstein

Vincenz Liechtenstein ( born July 30, 1950 in Graz, † 14 January 2008 in Wallenstein, German Feistritzwerke municipality in Styria) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP).

Life

Vincenz Liechtenstein, a grandson of the last Austrian emperor, attended a Bundesrealgymnasium in Graz (1960-1969) and then graduated in law at the University of Graz ( Dr. iur; . 1969-1975 ). He was active in the management of a forest management unit.

From his first marriage (1981-1991) with Hélène de Cossé - Brissac (* 1960) come from the two daughters Adelaide ( b. 1981 ) and Hedwig (* 1982). In his second marriage he had been married since 1999 with Roberta Valeri Manera (* 1953).

He was co-founder in 1974 of the JES student initiative. He was a member of the board of Catholic Family Association and the Sudeten Germans. Liechtenstein was a member of the Federal Council (1988-1996, 1997-2004). From 2004 to 2006 he was a Member of Parliament.
