Vindafjord

Vindafjord is a municipality in the Norwegian Rogaland. It is located in the countryside Haugaland. Since 1 January 2006 Vindafjord is united with the former neighboring municipality Ølen for new Vindafjord municipality. The new municipality has 8653 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013) and an area of 628 km ². The community center is located in Ølenssjøen.

1992, Skjold Church in the village was set on fire, Tomas Haugen and Varg Vikernes, both members of the Black Metal scene, were convicted of in 1994.
