Vineta-Festspiele

The Vineta Festival is a taking place since 1997 theater performance in Zinnowitz on the island of Usedom. The venue is the Baltic Zinnowitz stage, an outdoor stage and venue of the Vorpommerschen Landesbühne Anklam.

The performances will take place four days a week from late June to late August. It is listed a new piece every year, the thematically relates to the legend of the lost city of Vineta and artistic point of view is a mixture of the three traditional forms of theater acting, musical theater and dance performance. In addition to the classical theater techniques and technical elements such as laser shows and pyrotechnic effects are used beyond. The performances of three consecutive years form a substantively related trilogy.

The number of visitors is located at 800 to 1,200 per conception and thus at about 20,000 to 25,000 per year. In 2006, the tenth anniversary, the total number was exceeded by 250,000 visitors since its first performance in August.
