Vinica, Macedonia

Vinica (Cyrillic Виница ) is a city in eastern Macedonia and the capital of the municipality of the same name.

Geography

The town of Vinica lies to the east of the country, in Kocani valley that lies between the mountains and Osogovo Plackovica. Through the town, the rivers flow Vinička and Gradečka, close to the city run the rivers Bregalnica and Osojnica.

The municipality has Vinica according to the census of 2002 10.863 inhabitants.
