Vinod Khosla

Vinod Khosla ( born January 28, 1955 in Pune, India) is an American businessman of Indian origin.

Khosla is one of the founders of Sun Microsystems and became a partner in 1986 by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers.

In 2010 he was awarded the Champions of Earth Award.

Training

Khosla received his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. He later earned an MBA at Stanford University.

Forbes magazine estimates his fortune in 2008 to 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. So Khosla is the world's # 785 A big part of those assets he invested in the development of environmental technologies. Among other things, he founded the company Calera, which specializes on the reduction of carbon dioxide by chemical fixation of CO2 in cement ( carbonate ).
