Vinosady

Vinosady is a municipality in western Slovakia with 1216 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011) not far from the capital Bratislava.

The village is located about 2 kilometers north-east of the city Pezinok at the foot of the Little Carpathians. It was founded in 1964 by the merger of places Veľké Trnie and Malé Trnie, the name literally means German " vineyards " and refers to the numerous existing in and around the town vineyards.

The place Malé Trnie ( Terling German, Hungarian Terlény ) was first mentioned in 1208 and was called to 1948 Trlinok. Southwest of the village center is Veľké Trnie (sugar village, Hungarian Csukárd ), until 1948 it was known as Kučišdorf.
