Violant of Hungary

Yolanda of Hungary ( in Catalonia also known as Violante, * 1219, † October 9, 1251 in Huesca) was a Hungarian princess and queen of Aragon.

Life

She was the daughter of King Andrew II of Hungary from his second marriage with Yolanda Courtenay, daughter of the Latin Emperor of Constantinople Peter Opel.

She was married as his second wife, with King James I of Aragon. They had ten children.

She died in 1251; her tomb is located in the Monastery of Santa Maria de Vallbona.
