Violator (English for " intruder " ) is the seventh studio album by the British synthpop band Depeche Mode. It appeared in 1990 and with over 15 million units sold worldwide to date the best-selling album of the band. In the published by Rolling Stone magazine in 2003 " list of the 500 best albums of all time " is out on place 342.

On the album followed the global World Violation Tour. Since this Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence were always part of the live concerts from Depeche Mode.

Music style

In the Crucified heavily distorted voice of Andy Fletcher is heard, which expresses precisely this word.
