Violetta Ferrari

Violetta Ferrari ( born April 25, 1930 in Hódmezővásárhely; † January 23, 2014 in Budapest) was a Hungarian actress and singer.

Life and artistic work

Violetta Ferrari was the daughter of an Italian soldier who remained after the First World War in Hungary. In Budapest, the young Violetta studied acting training at the local theater academy. This was followed by a three-year engagement at the National Theatre of Budapest. She also starred in several films in their home country as an actress and singer.

Ferrari fled along with her husband after the downcast of the Soviet Union national uprising (1956 ) from their home in the Federal Republic of Germany. Soon, she got an engagement at the Little Theatre at the zoo in Frankfurt am Main.

In German-speaking artist is best known for roles in several German home movies of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Furthermore, they also sang some hit. With the love It must be reached on the 12th (last) place at the German Schlager Festival 1964.

Violetta Ferrari also played many times in musicals, such as in Munich and Vienna, such as Sally Bowles in Cabaret and the title role in Irma la Douce. At the State Theater on Gaertnerplatz she excelled in 1967 as Penny in the musical million for Penny.

The artist was married to a Hungarian engineering graduate. The marriage produced two sons were born.
