Viona Harrer

Viona Harrer ( born November 5, 1986 in Rosenheim ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper, who plays since 2012 in the men's team of the EC Bad Tolz from the Oberliga South and goalkeeper of the German national team.

Career

Viona Harrer started her career at the age of five years for SB Rosenheim. Later, she also coached the TEV Miesbach and was a regular goalkeeper of the ESC Planegg in the women's Bundesliga, before she moved before the season 2003/ 04 with their grandparents after Reichersbeuern in to play in the DNL team Tolz Lions. In the 2007 /08 season they were in the jersey of Tolz professional team as the first woman ever made ​​their debut in the German hockey league. After the rise of Tolz Lions in the second hockey league she moved to TSV Erding, where her older brother Daniel played for several years. Harrer played with the men's team of TSV first in the Regional, starting in 2011 in the big leagues.

By 2012, she served on the Erdinger squad before they moved back to EC Bad Tölz and there plays for the men's team in the Oberliga Süd.

Viona Harrer belongs to the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces, first as a corporal and later as a commissioned officer.

Internationally

At the age of 16, she was part of the extended squad of the German national team and traveled to the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2003 to Beijing, which was canceled due to the SARS epidemic. At the tournament a year later she was in Halifax, Canada, on their first few times at a World Cup. Due to some injuries they missed the 2006 Winter Olympics, and was able to accrue until 2007 internationally again at the World Championships.

At the World Cup in 2008, it rose with the national team from the B group.
