Viosinho

It is an indigenous grape in Portugal and their cultivation is recommended in the Alto Trás -os- Montes and Douro.

The early maturing variety provides light white wines with a strong acid when it grows in the high altitudes of the Alto Douro. In the wines are flowery fragrance with slight hints of apricot and citrus. Rarely varietal white wines are offered, but certainly tolerate a matured in wooden barrels. The variety is partially taken up in the white port wine.
