Visayas State University

The Visayas State University ( VSU ) is located in the province of Leyte in the Philippines. It is regarded as an important educational institution in the administrative region of Eastern Visayas. The University has five campuses, covering a total area of ​​over 15 square kilometers. The main campus is promoted by the Departmend of Tourism as a landmark on the island of Leyte. History

The University's history began on June 2, 1924 as the Baybay Agricultural School was opened. This was in 1938 renamed as the Baybay National Agricultural School ( BNAs ). On 19 June 1960, the status of the school was increased by renaming in the Visayas Agricultural College (VAC ). The college developed rapidly and new training programs were integrated into the education system of the college, the college in the Visayas State College of Agriculture ( ViSCA ) was renamed on 24 May 1974. 1999 and 2000 were the Isabel National Agricultural and Vocational School ( iNAVs ) Alangalang Agro- Industrial School, Leyte National College of Agriculture, Science and Technology in Villalba Daniel Z.
