Viscom

Viscom AG is a German manufacturer of testing, in particular for automatic optical inspection ( AOI) and X-ray inspection, based in Hanover. The testing takes place in the Automobileletronik, aviation and space technology, industrial electronics and semiconductor industries.

History

Viscom was founded in 1984 by Dr. Martin Heuser and Volker Pape and developed software for image processing. After moving to its current headquarters in Hanover Badenstedt in 1992 the serial production of inspection systems for the electronics manufacturing began. 1995 was combined with the microfocus X-ray inspection and the world's first system that incident and x-ray inspection, another leg up. 1998 was followed by the establishment of offices in the U.S. and Singapore as well as the development of a global representative network. 2001 was developed with the microsystem inspection another business area. In the same year the company was changed to AG before Viscom went public in May 2006. Since August 2007, Viscom also offers systems for semiconductor inspection.

Products

The product range of Viscom covers four areas:

  • Optical and X-ray series test systems for paste printing inspection, assembly inspection, solder joint inspection and 3D X-ray inspection.
  • X Special Technical Inspection systems for non-destructive testing and the 3D microfocus computed tomography ( μCT ).
  • Special optical inspection systems for bare-board inspection, wire bond inspection and custom test tasks.
  • Semiconductor inspection systems for the inspection of MEMS, the flip-chip inspection for bare wafer 3D -check.
