Viscount Exmouth

Viscount Exmouth, of Canonteign in the County of Devon, is a British hereditary title of nobility in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, which is run by the family Pellow. The family has produced many famous officers of the Royal Navy.

Award

The title was for Edward Pellew, 1st Baron Exmouth, created in 1816. This was an important fleet commander of his time and had in particular the pirates fought successfully at the Barbary Coast.
