The Vişeu ( Wischau German, Hungarian Visó ) is a 70 km long left tributary of the Tisza in the Romanian Maramureş County.

Course

The river rises in the Rodna Mountains in the north of Romania and flows in a northwesterly direction following locations: Borsa, Moiseja, Viseu de Sus, Viseu de Jos, Leordina, Petrova and Bistra. The Wischautal ( Valea Viseu ) is named after the river.

In Valea Viseului, on the border with Ukraine, it flows into the Tisza.
