Vishva Hindu Parishad

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad VHP (Hindi, f, विश्व हिंदू परिषद्, Visva Hindū Parisad, "World Hindu Council ") is a Hindu nationalist organization in India. Founded in 1964, it is one of the Hindu nationalist organizations, which are generally grouped under the name of Sangh Parivar. The VHP sees itself as the Sangh Parivar wing of which public mobilizations for the purpose of violent civil actions against non-Hindus, mostly members of Islam and Christianity performs. Thus, the VHP was instrumental in preparing for the destruction of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya in 1992. He is committed to the reconstruction of the Ram - Janmabhumi temple at the site of the destroyed Babri mosque in Ayodhya. The VHP is under strong criticism because he systematically stoking communal conflicts between Hindus and Muslims.
