Vitacura is a municipality in the province of Santiago in Chile with an area of 28.3 km ² and 81,500 inhabitants ( 2002).

Description

Vitacura is located on the northern edge of the metropolitan area of Santiago de Chile. The city is one of the better neighborhoods in the country. The inhabitants have a higher income than the average of the inhabitants of Chile. In the city there is the exclusive shopping street, Avenida Alonso de Córdova. Vitacura and the neighboring city of Las Condes are home to some elite private schools.
