Vivant

Vivant is a Belgian radical democratic party. They lobby for Social Security by an unconditional basic income, reducing labor costs and more direct democracy through referendums.

Vivant was founded in 1997 by the Belgian multi-millionaire Roland Duchâtelet and has only a very small political importance. She has received in the regional elections in Belgium on 13 June 2004 about 2 % of the votes and could move through joint lists with the liberal VLD party of Government Guy Verhofstadt in the regional and community parliaments.

Vivant was from 2004 to 2009 by the brothers Joseph and Ernst Meyer represented in the Parliament of the German-speaking Community. In the election in June 2009 Vivant maintained its two seats in the Parliament of the GC, instead of the previous MPs Meyer, who resigned from her post, Michael Balter and Alain Mertes were on 30 June 2009, however, was sworn in as deputies.
