Vladimir Cosma

Vladimir Cosma ( born April 13, 1940 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian film composer.

Life

Vladimir Cosma, the son of conductor Teodor Cosma, learned violin and began his career as a film composer and arranger for Michel Legrand. In Germany he was known primarily for the ZDF four-part series in the 1960er/1970er-Jahren. The title song from The Adventures of David Balfour (1978 ), David 's Song, was later interpreted by the Kelly Family.

His best-known composition is the title theme of the film The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972 ) with Pierre Richard, who was played by Gheorghe Zamfir on the pan flute. He set three films of Louis de Funès and two of Jean -Paul Belmondo. Most of his film scores have been released on recordings. Which was the most successful single from the film Reality La Boum, sung by Richard Sanderson.
