Vladimir Lutchenko

Vladimir Yakovlevich Luttschenko (Russian: Владимир Яковлевич Лутченко; born April 2, 1949 in Ramenskoje, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player.

Career

For the season 1969/70 the defender began his career at HK CSKA Moscow and he remained with that club until he ended his career after the 1980/81 season. Overall, he scored 58 goals in 459 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On 3 December 1967, he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medals at the Winter Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976. For the national team, he scored 34 goals in 281 internationals. The Ice Hockey World Championships he was eight times with his team world champion (1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1978 and 1979). In 1970 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". On September 14, 1980 he played his last international match.

Luttschenko received the Medal of the Soviet Union.
