Vladimir Nikitin (boxer)

Vladimir Olegovich Nikitin (Russian: Владимир Олегович Никитин, born 25 March 1990 in Stary Oskol ) is a Russian amateur boxer.

Career

The 1.68 m wide boom Links occupied in 2009, 2010 and 2011 third place at the Russian Championships. In 2010 he also won the Russian U22 Spartakiade bantamweight.

In 2012 he won the Russian U22 Championships and the Russian Championships in featherweight. In December 2012, he also won the featherweight the U22 European Championships in Kaliningrad. He defeated while on the way to the title Sean McGoldrick from Wales ( 15:9 ), Declan Geraghty of Ireland ( 17:7 ), Mykola Butsenko from Ukraine ( 23:8 ) and Aram Awagijan from Armenia ( 17:7 ). In October 2013 he became vice world champion at featherweight in Almaty. After victories against Juan Reyes from Guyana (3-0), Veaceslav Gojan from Moldova (3-0 ), Michael Conlan from Ireland ( 3-0) and Mykola Butsenko from Ukraine (2:1 ), he reached the final, where he eliminated against Cawid Tschelebijew from Azerbaijan (0:3).
