Vladko Panayotov

Wladko Todorov Panayotov (also Vladko Todorov Panayotov written, Bulgarian Владко Тодоров Панайотов; born May 7, 1950 in Pawlikeni, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian politician of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF ) and a member of the European Parliament.

Panayotov is a member of the Bulgarian Scientists Association and the Bulgarian Chemists Association and a lecturer and professor at the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia.

1975 ended Wladko Panayotov his studies in "Chemical Cybernetics " at the Moscow Chemical Technology Mendeleyev University.

Between 1977 and 1980 Wladko Panayotov is a doctoral student at the University of Mining and Geology, Sofia. Between 1980 and 1990 he was a research associate and senior research associate, deputy director of joint scientific-practical center of the Combine for mining and mineral processing Gorubso and the University of Mining and Geology. Between 1990 and 2007 he is Director of the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in Kardzhali. Set 2000 he has been Professor and since 2002 editor of the journal " Geology and Mineral Resources ".

2007 Wladko Panayotov was elected in the European elections in 2007 from the list of DPS, which is the strongest political force in the region Kardzhali, a member of the European Parliament. In the 2009 elections, he was confirmed in his office.

Wladko Panayotov is further author of four textbooks, three monographs, 160 publications and holder of 36 patents.

Panayotov speaks English, Spanish and Russian.
