Vodacom Cup

The Vodacom Cup ( Afrikaans: Vodacombeker ) is a swept annually Cup tournament in rugby. It takes place from February to May and is held in South Africa after the Currie Cup and Super Rugby greatest rugby competition in the country. It was originally planned as a development tournament for the Super 14, and satisfied even today this task. The competition is named after the sponsor Vodacom. The competition is since 2005 (except 2006) played in two regional leagues (2005 Section X and Y, since 2007, North and South).

For the first time in 2010 took two additional foreign teams participate. It is the Welwitschia, the national team of Namibia as well as the Pampas XV, a team from Argentina. All games except for the home games of the Welwitschia take place in South Africa.
