Vodafone Greece

Vodafone Greece is the second largest Greek mobile phone company.

Vodafone Greece was founded in 1992 as Panafon. The company was founded a joint venture of Vodafone, France Telecom, Intracom and Data Bank. The prepaid cards were marketed as a la carte.

In December 1998, the IPO on the Athens Stock Exchange took place. In January 2002 Panafon was renamed Vodafone GR. In July 2004, a redemption of the Athens Stock Exchange, as the Vodafone Group Plc. 99.8 percent of the shares held. It has the network area codes 694 and 695
