Vodafone Iceland

Vodafone Iceland is a privately held telecommunications company in Iceland. It belongs to Teymi group of companies and is a franchisee of Vodafone. The company has about 165,000 customers and employs about 410 employees. Vodafone Iceland is in competition with the former state-owned telecommunications company Síminn. In 2006 the company achieved a turnover of 140 million U.S. dollars (about 106 million euros ).

Vodafone Iceland offers both fixed and mobile telephony and Internet services to residential and corporate clients.

History

In 2003, the company TAL, Halló - Frjáls Fjarskipti and Íslandssími signed on as ogVodafone, which was renamed in 2006 to Vodafone Iceland.
