Vodafone Turkey

Vodafone Türkiye (formerly Telsim Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. ) is a mobile operator in Turkey.

The company was founded in May 1994 as Telsim was after Turkcell, the second largest mobile company in Turkey. The company had approximately ten million customers and thus covered about 25 % of the Turkish market, as it was for 4.55 billion U.S. dollars acquired by Vodafone in 2005. After the takeover, the company was called until 31 March 2007 temporarily Telsim Vodafone. In 2011, the company had 17.5 million active customers Vodafone Türkiye and thus a market share of 28%.
