The military publisher of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, formerly Militärverlag the Ministry of Defense of the USSR (Russian Военное издательство МО РФ short Воениздат - Wojenisdat ) designates one of the largest Russian publishers, the military-political, military theoretical, historical, memoir and fiction literature, works to combat training and military technology, foreign language dictionaries, and products of the fine arts ( such as illustrated books, posters) out there.

It was founded as a literary publisher of the Political Administration of the Republic, from 1924 he was called on October 25, 1919 in Moscow, " The State Military Publishing House" and from 1936 " Military publishing house of the People's Commissariat of Defense ." 1968, the publishing house was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

Since December 2003, the military publishing house of Colonel Viktor Petrovich Akulenko is headed.
