Voiced alveolo-palatal sibilant
The voiced fricative alveolopalatale is voiced, fricative alveolopalataler. The consonant sounds for German as a " halfway house " of the voiced s [z ] and the voiced sch [ ʒ ], where the tongue tip is not (as in the voiced retroflex fricative [ ʐ ] ) bent behind the alveolar ridge.
The voiced fricative has alveolopalatale in different languages following phonetic and orthographic realizations:

- 时期/ ziki / = [ ʑiki ] " time period"
- ぢゃ/ dja / = [ ʑa ] "Well! "
