GAZ Volga Siber (2008-2010)

The GAZ Volga Siber is a produced from March 2008 until the end of 2010 car model of the Russian producer Gorkowski Awtomobilny Zavod. The GAZ Volga Siber was the last car model of Volga.

With the vehicle a technically current successor of in its basic form, dating from the 1969 GAZ Volga 31105 should be created. The car is based on the at this point in the U.S. just set generation of the Chrysler Sebring, whose production facilities were taken over completely. Miscellaneous parts, including the engines were, however, continue to be supplied from quality reasons of Chrysler.

The production in 2008 and 2009 at 20,000 units. 2010, production of Volga Siber was increased to 65,000 units per year. The prices of the Volga Siber began at about 15,000 euros. Exports of Volga Siber should take place also to Europe and Africa in a success of the model. In the second step, the model should be enshrined in those markets as a cheap Chrysler alternative. Other models from the house of Chrysler after planning should follow this example.

The hoped-for success was, however, so you decided to drop the Volga Siber and was produced according to the press department only of the last 5000 existing in the bearing part sets by the end of 2010.

By setting the GAZ Siber completed for the time being the production of passenger cars. Later, the company could begin the assembly of vehicles of German manufacturer Volkswagen. Negotiations have already been started.
