Volker Goetze
Life
Volker Goetze studied at the Cologne University of Music Jazz Trumpet with Markus Stockhausen and classical music under Friedemann Immer and at the Aaron Copeland School of Music, Queens College, City University of New York, Michael Philip Mossman.
In addition to his activity focus as a trumpeter Goetze works as an arranger and composer. With the Senegalese kora player Ablaye Cissoko he forms since 2001, the " exceptional Duo" Cissoko & Volker Goetze Ablaye. Goetze lives and works in New York.
