The People's Crown was introduced after the abolition of the monarchy in Germany as a replacement of monarchical crowns on the coat of arms.
The ranking crowns previously used on the coats of arms was replaced by a flat -reaching over the upper plate edge crown of leaves. The coat of arms of Baden- Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse and Rhineland -Palatinate show this crown. The crown is described as ornamented with vine leaves or crown called deciduous crown.
