Volodia Teitelboim
Volodia Teitelboim ( born March 17, 1916 in Chillán, † January 31, 2008 in Santiago de Chile; actually Valentín Teitelboim Volosky ) was a Chilean- Jewish communist and writer.
He was particularly known as a friend of Pablo Neruda, about which he also (as well as Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriela Mistral and Vicente Huidobro ) wrote a biography.
In 1943 he published the essay " El amanecer del capitalismo y la conquista de América " ( " The dawn of capitalism and the conquest of America ").
He is the father of Claudio Teitelboim.
