Volstroff
Volstroff ( German Wolsdorf ) is a municipality with 1445 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle.
Geography
The community is located about 9 km south-east of Thionville in the valley of the river Bibiche.
It includes the four southwest villages
- Pure Ange ( renin gene ),
- Saint Vitus (Saint Vitus )
- Schell ( Schell) and
- Vinsberg ( vineyard ), where a castle is located.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1305 as Wollestrof and heard since 1659 to France. From 1 February 1971 to 31 December 1981 it was incorporated into the neighboring Metzervisse.
