Volvo B30 engine

The B30 was a gasoline engine, the Swedish automaker Volvo, which was presented in 1968 in the passenger car model Volvo 164. It was made as a petrol engine under the name B30A with a dual carburetor system of Stromberg with 130 hp and a fuel injection engine under the name B30E with a D -Jetronic injection system from Bosch and 160 hp, which was also used in the B20E. Volvo is here departed from the B30A from the normal corporate coding for engines. A always stood for an engine with a carburetor, B for two. But since there was not a single carburettor version of this, you are probably departed from here. It is a six-cylinder in-line engine with a lateral camshaft ( OHV valve control) and about 3 liters capacity. He was also prepared with three carburettors as boat motor AQ 175 Volvo Penta and found beyond use in the SUV Volvo C303. The motor based technically on the 4- cylinder engine B18/B20.
