Vombsjön

Vombsjön, or Våmbsjön, the city of Lund is a lake in the southern Swedish province of Skåne historical, about 20 km east located. The lake is part of the communities Eslöv, Lund and Sjöbo.

It has an area of 12 km ² and is located at 20 m ö.h., its greatest depth is 16 meters. The lake is known for its good water quality and its rich bass in hand, he acts since 1948 as a drinking water reservoir for just 30 km from Malmö.

Two rivers feed the Vombsjön: The Björkaån from the east and the Borstbäcken from the north. The lake is drained by the Kävlingeån, since 1936 this happens regulated.
