Voodoo3
Voodoo 3 is both the name of a 2D-/3D-Grafikchips of 3dfx and its resultant graphics cards.
Like its predecessor, the Voodoo Banshee, Voodoo 3 was developed as a full 2D-/3D-Grafikchip. After the already delayed appearance of the Voodoo 3 in mid-1999, there was due to insufficient manufacturing capacity at 3dfx supply shortages. Also technically could not completely convince the map. She offered as their predecessors only 16 -bit color depth, the competitor Nvidia TNT 2 already offered with its 32-bit color depth. To mitigate this shortcoming, 3dfx added with the newer driver versions, add a 22 -bit post-filter, the below renders the final image later with 22 -bit color instead of the normal 16-bit.
