Voortrekkers

As Voortrekkers ( Afrikaans / Dutch " advance Drawing " ) is called the Boer inhabitants of the Cape, the 1835 emigrated to the British annexation of the Cape Colony in the Great Trek to the north, where the Boer Republics ( Transvaal, Orange Free State, Natalia and some other minor States) founded.

After these historical pioneers the South African youth organization Voortrekkers was named.
