Vordere Kesselschneid

The Front Kesselschneid is 2001 m above sea level. A. the highest peak in Tame Emperor, the northern part of the Kaiser mountain range in Tyrol.

The summit is located southeast of the bustling pyramid tip and is separated from it by a 50 m deep saddle. To the east of the mountain sends an elongated rocky and partly overgrown with mountain pine ridge, which on the rear Kesselschneid (1995 m) over moves to Ross Kaiser (1970 m). To the north it breaks with steep rock faces into Winkelkar, to the west the vast plateau of the Tame Emperor with the pyramid closes at and south of the mountain falls mainly schrofig from the Kaisertal.

Routes

The easiest and most common, the front Kesselschneid from the northeast is climbed from the pyramid tip. From there, you have to descend about 50 feet to a saddle and then pathless, but ascend without difficulty over a grassy slope to the summit cairn; Walking time from the top of the pyramid 20 minutes.
