Vorderhufen

Front hooves was a district of Königsberg ( Prussia). He lay northwest of the support means between home and hooves in the west and Palwehof and Maraunenhof in the east.

The hooves was an agricultural area measure.

History

The hooves stretched out in front of the stone Dammer goal. The Schroetter map from 1802 shows these three hooves - districts ( hooves, front hooves and hooves means ) still completely undeveloped and consists only of meadows. Only the front hooves show a weak settlement along the road to Cranz. 1885, the rural community of front hooves, the estate districts Carolinenhof and Rathshof were incorporated into the city.

Here lay the Nord train station, the freight station, the Sambia Bahn AG, the German Ostmesse, the Chamber of Agriculture, the new clubhouse and the famous " meatball Academy " in the " musicians 'quarter ', where the roads to the composer had been named.
