Materials of heading is a river in Norway, which forms the outlet of Lake Mjøsa. The river flows past Minnesund and ends at Nes in the Glomma.

The materials of heading was so named because it was a "warm" river that rarely freezes over - unlike other rivers such as the Glomma and the Lågen in Gudbrandsdal. At the confluence of materials of heading and Glomma at Årnes Nes and the Funnefoss, a 10 m high waterfall Glomma is.
