Vortex mixer

A vortex mixer is a small shaker for everyday laboratory work, especially in biological and biochemical laboratories. Solutions in tubes ( eg Eppendorf cups, Erlenmeyer flasks, microtiter plates) are to be thoroughly mixed with this device. For this purpose, the reaction vessel on the shaker attachment, a rubber trough is on the device pressed upward. Depending on the setting of this vortex is beginning to mix the reaction mixture by vibration. Usual speed ranges ranging up to 2500 min -1. Can be set in addition to the magnitude of the vibration and the mode of operation: continuous or short -term operation. In short operating the equipment is operated only by pressing down the rubber trough. For most devices, it is possible to use reaction vessels between 1.5 ml and 50 ml volumes.
