Vratislav Effenberger

Vratislav Effenberger ( born April 22, 1923 in Nymburk, † August 10, 1986 in Prague) was Czech literary theorist.

Curriculum vitae

After the Industrial School, which he finished in 1944 with high school, he studied chemistry and art history and aesthetics at the Faculty of Philosophy. From 1946 he worked in the Czechoslovak Film Institute, from which he was released in 1954. He then worked as a laborer until 1966 and later took a job with Fu ČSAV (Czech Academy of Sciences). In 1970 he is but dismissed for political reasons and is again working as a laborer, from 1975 as a night watchman and 1977, he is retiring early.

Vratislav Effenberger was a leading personality theorists as an organizer and the Surrealist group. In 1969 he edited the Surrealist periodical analogue. Around the year 1968 he published in a series newspapers and magazines that dealt with literature, theater or art.

Works

The majority of published self-published or still exists in manuscript. Became known for his film script Surovost života a cynicism fantasy ( rawness of life and the cynicism of the imagination ), ( Toronto, 1984), Praha 1991 were also published many of his articles in newspapers and magazines. Some works were confiscated and destroyed by the security service.
